Sleeping on the Job!
Masyn and Nate were busy working in the backyard and when that was complete they headed to tackle the front yard. Nate parked the tractor in the driveway and started to mow the front yard when he looked over and saw this........

Grandma Sue is 50!
On May 25th my mom, aka Grandma Sue, tuned 50! We surprised her with 50 gifts collected from the family. It was a lot of fun and the boys just loved taking turns handing her gifts to open! Happy Birthday Mom! Love you!
Lots of presents!

Memorial Day Weekend!
Saturday morning the weather straightened out so we packed up and made the long 3.5 mile drive to River's Bend for a night of camping on the Root River! We all had a great time. The boys played in the river, we grilled supper, roasted marshmellows, made Jiffy-pop popcorn over the fire and slept in Grandpa and Grandma Remme's camper! Uncle Derek even joined us for the night! The boys had a great time running around and we found it so relaxing that we stayed well into Sunday night.

Can they stay this age forever!
I'm sure the water was freezing!
Nappy time!
Baldy was even there!
Staining the Deck
We've put this off a year more than we should have. The staining process started the weekend of May 9th with a trip to Fleet Farm to check on the price of deck stain. Easy enough, right? The paint/stain expert was on break so we spent a chuck of time trying to figure out what we needed. We finally spotted a 5 gallon pail that was in the lovely shade of Coco Shell and it was...on sale!! During this entire process Myles is hanging on the cart... next thing we know the cart is falling on it's side with the 5 gallon pail included. I managed to catch the cart with my pinkie finger! The rest of the weekend was rainy so we waited until the following weekend to tackle the day long project. Both boys were eager to help and did a great job!!
Moving furniture back onto the deck! Hard workers!
Nate moved furniture while I took pictures! :0)
All done!
It's been so long!
I apologize for not updating this like I thought I would. Where has the time gone? Here is some of the things we've been up to!

What a weekend!
The weekend started out relaxing and quiet with a movie and popcorn on Friday night. Then it all changed..... Saturday morning we were off to Grandpa Carroll and Grandma Sue's house for Easter dinner. Jessica and Daren arrived from Madison, WI on Friday night. It was great to see them! It had been over 3 months since they had been home. They arranged for the boys to have a egg hunt that morning before Easter dinner.
Hold still for one picture!
Can you find the egg??

Coloring of the Eggs
Family tradition is to color Easter eggs. Buy eggs. $1.49. Buy the color kit. $1.99. Buy vinegar. $.89. A cheap, easy and fun way to spend a Spring afternoon. After having Sunday breakfast and realizing we were now down to having 10 eggs which included a brief debate with Nate about running to the store to get more, it was time for the fun to begin! Less than 10 minutes later the fun is over... another brief debate about getting more eggs and we're off to the store. After boiling and cooling we were ready for round 2! Only a few minor spills and our egg coloring experience was over!
